The body is shaped like a vase, decorated with spoonwork, with a constricted neck in the upper section and a rim ornamented with relief bead motifs. The draft opening has decorative cutouts and stands on a square base with four stepped legs. The handles consist of two shaped plates connected by wooden relief grips; the left wooden piece is a restored replacement. The spigot is four-sided, with a relief rosette at the base. The tap key is a branch type, and the wooden knob is missing. The lid is stepped, with a steam vent and two wooden knobs. The crown has three decorative cutouts. The lid and the front side of the base bear the stamp: “ФАБРИКА ЕГОРА ИВАНОВ. БАТАШЕВА.” The chimney cap is missing. The samovar is nickel-plated. It was purchased from a private seller through a Craigslist listing and shipped from the state of Oregon.
