The body is shaped like a sphere. The nickel plating is partially lost. The draft opening is missing. The handles and legs are interwoven, openwork, and screw-mounted; each leg is numbered “38.” The handles consist of two plates connected by wooden holders. The spigot’s nozzle ends with a stylized dolphin head. The tap key is shaped like a branch, made in the same style as the handles and legs. The lid is spherical and smooth, with a steam vent; the grips are missing. The fire grate and the plug are absent. The stamp on the lid reads: “НАСЛЕДНИКА ИВ. ГР. БАТАШЕВА ВЪ ТУЛIЪ.” The samovar was purchased on OfferUp from a private seller. It was brought to the United States from Germany by the seller’s father in the 1980s.
