НИКОЛАЙ МАЛИКОВЪ В ТУЛЕ
The body is shaped like a faceted vase that widens toward the top, with a constriction in the upper section. The samovar has no draft opening and stands on a massive square base supported by four stylized lion-paw legs. The body and the neck are fastened together with a bolt. The handles are shaped like stylized shells with wooden inserts (one partially missing), attached to the body with fluted rosettes. The spigot is cast and topped with a massive decorative extension, with a raised rosette at the base. The tap key is a framed, two-part swing type with a wooden grip in the center. The lid is stepped, fitted with two replacement wooden handles and a steam vent with a wooden knob. The fire grate has decorative cutouts around its full diameter and is inserted into the chimney. The plug is missing. The front of the base bears the stamp: «НИКОЛАЙ МАЛИКОВЪ В ТУЛЕ». The samovar was purchased from the collector Mark in San Francisco, CA, in 2023.
