The body has a constricted neck in the upper section. The base is square, with a stamp on the front side. The draft opening has decorative cutouts. The handles consist of two curved plates connected by wooden grips and are attached to the body with relief rosettes. The spigot is faceted, with a decorative spout and a relief rosette at the base. The tap key is a branch type with a wooden knob. The lid is stepped, with two wooden knobs and a steam vent. The lid bears a stamp with a double-headed eagle: “НАСЛЕДНИКА ИВ.ГР.БАТАШЕВА ВЪ ТУЛIЪ.” The crown and the chimney cap are missing. A chimney tube with a wooden handle is included. The samovar was purchased from a private seller through a Craigslist listing in El Sobrante, California, in 2012.
